Websites for tradesmen
I'm Grant, and I build websites for tradesmen. Every trade needs the same few things from a website, and then a few of its own. Below is a page for each trade I've built for, with the real client and what their site does, and then what every trade site needs. I start with a free mockup, so you see the site before you pay anything, and it costs you nothing either way.
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it.
Or call 07459 934592 or message on WhatsApp. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.
See your own website first.
Then decide if it earns your £50.
Tell me about your business and I’ll make a free mockup using your name, services and brand. You see the direction before you pay anything.
- Custom website, hosting, care and content updates included
- The website is yours once all 24 payments are made
- After that, £20/month care is optional
- Your first payment is fully refundable for 14 days from the day it is taken

I'll use the details you've sent to put together a first design within 2 working days. There's nothing else you need to email over to get started.
Quick answer. Whatever the trade, a tradesman's website is there to start a phone call or a message. Every trade needs the same four things: your phone number within reach on a phone, photos of your own jobs, a plain list of what you do and where, and a short way to ask for a price. Then each trade adds its own, so pick yours below. I start with a free mockup. If you go ahead, it's £50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years.
A page for each trade I've built for
Each page has the real client for that trade, what their site does, and the questions people in that trade ask me.

What every tradesman's website needs
Whatever your trade, these are the parts I would put in. The trade pages above add the ones that are particular to your work.
A phone number within reach
For a trade, a phone call is usually how a job starts. Put a tap-to-call number at the top of every page and in the contact section, and keep a Call button on screen as people scroll on a phone.
Photos of your own jobs
Photos of your own work, even ones taken on your phone, show a customer what they would be getting. A stock picture could be anyone's job.
A before and an after
Where you have a real before, show it first, then the finished job from the same spot. It is the quickest way to show what you do.
What you do, in plain words
List your services the way you would say them on the phone, one clear heading each, and explain any trade word a customer would not know.
Where you work
Say which areas you cover, as you would to a customer, and what to do if theirs is not on the list.
A quick way to ask for a price
A short form for name, number and what needs doing, and a WhatsApp button if you use it, so a customer can send you a photo of the job.
Reviews customers can check
Link to the reviews where they were written, such as Google or Facebook, with a link for new customers to leave one. That is better than quoting a number that goes out of date.
Changes that do not wait
A new job, a new phone number, a service you have added: all small changes. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours. On suitable builds I can also include a private password-protected panel for your business, so you can add jobs yourself.
Set up properly for search
Each page tells Google what your trade is and where you work, which is the groundwork for being found when someone searches for your kind of work nearby. No one can promise a place in the results, and I will not.
What clients say
A few words from clients I've worked with on website builds, cloud infrastructure and ongoing support.
"I’m extremely happy with the website that was created for me. From start to finish, the whole process was professional, smooth, and stress-free. Grant took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and turned my ideas into a website that looks modern, professional, and easy to use. The attention to detail was fantastic, and communication was excellent throughout, everything was completed to a really high standard. I would highly recommend Grant Ops Consulting to anyone looking for a talented, reliable, and creative website designer. I’m genuinely delighted with the final result and couldn’t be happier with the service I received. 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"Grant contacted myself in regards to a website which i was already looking into, he made it so simple and a well designed website was up and running the next day, all at a very reasonable price."
"Grant had done a spectacular job building a website for me that far exceeds my expectations...he took my thoughts and ideas and transformed them into a platform that reflects my personality. He was on hand throughout the journey to advise the best way to showcase my work and this has allowed me to take my hobby into a small business. I'm one delighted customer."
"Absolutely delighted with the web page Grant has set up for my joinery business — very professional and was super quick in responding to my questions and queries. 10/10 Excellent experience."
"Amazing, Grant really understood the assignment. He has made my daughters hobbie of making bracelets for her friends into a wider opportunity for her to show her talent off. Thanks again Grant, highly recommend 10/10 👍 x"
"GrantOps Consulting delivered Cyberlandia an exceptional experience from start to finish. They transformed our AWS public cloud environment into a highly redundant, resilient solution that gives us real confidence in our infrastructure. What really set them apart was their willingness to go above and beyond—diving deep into troubleshooting our custom applications and developing sophisticated, high-end workarounds tailored to our unique deployment. Their technical expertise, creativity, and commitment to getting things right were evident at every step. If you're looking for someone that not only understands cloud architecture but truly partners with you to solve complex challenges, I highly recommend GrantOps Consulting. We continue to use them."
More recent builds
Recent builds — a joiner and builder, a plumber and bathroom fitter, an accident repair centre, a heating firm, a print studio, a southside joinery, a tree surgeon and landscaper, a painter and decorator, and a roofer — plus our own app live on both app stores. Each is a fully working build you can click through.
Change it yourself in seconds — or just email us
Updates are included in your monthly plan. Email a change over and it's done within 48 hours — usually within a few hours. And when you'd rather not wait on anyone: on suitable builds GrantOps includes a simple admin panel built around the exact sections we agree — prices and services, menus, photos, special offers, opening hours, news.
You edit the approved content; the layout, branding and mobile design stay protected. Photo and project gallery editing is already delivered and in use for KAP Joinery.
Available on suitable builds. We agree exactly what you can edit before development, so the panel stays simple instead of becoming a cluttered page builder.

What happens after the £50 monthly payments?
A monthly website can spread the cost of owning a professional site, or keep you renting indefinitely. The important question is what you own when the initial term ends.
That £50 a month is the whole thing — designing and building your site, hosting it, and changes when you need them. There's no separate build bill. And it's 24 payments, not forever — the plan runs for a minimum of 24, and once they're made the £50 stops and you either keep us on at £20 a month or take your site wherever you like. It's yours. Seen another £50-a-month offer? Ask if it includes building the site — many at that price cover hosting and support only.
A website-rental model
- You may be paying for access to the website rather than buying it
- The monthly payment can continue for as long as the site is live
- Payments never end — stop paying and the site is gone
- Website files may not be available to move elsewhere
- Updates, email and support may be separate add-ons
GrantOps monthly plan
- No deposit and no setup fee — start with the first £50 payment
- A custom-coded website designed for your business
- Hosting, content updates and business email included
- Backups, security and direct developer support included
- Complete all 24 payments and the website is yours — take it anywhere
The plan runs for a minimum of 24 payments — that's what pays for the build instead of an upfront fee. End it early and hosting ends and the site comes down. Complete all 24 and the £50 payments stop for good: keep us on at £20/month or take the files and host the site anywhere. With a rental, the payments never stop — and neither does the risk.
AWS and Kubernetes certified
Translation: the bit that keeps your site online and fast is run by someone with the same qualifications enterprise teams hire for. Your site won't vanish because a cheap hosting company went bust.
Your booking system. Your customers. Your account.
Every build includes hooking your site up to the tools you already use — online booking, newsletter, reviews, WhatsApp. You keep the accounts, in your name. That's the whole difference.
Let people book you online
Already using Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell? I'll wire it straight into your site, so customers book a slot instead of ringing you while you're on a job.
The account stays yours
The booking system is in your name, on your card. Your calendar, your customer list, your data. None of it routes through me, and I don't sit in the middle of it.
Walk away, keep everything
Resellers hand you their booking platform as part of the monthly fee. Stop paying and your calendar goes with them. Here the tools were always yours — so there's nothing to lose.
Included in every website build, whichever way you pay — it's your account, I just wire it in. Bespoke work like member areas, custom calculators or a direct API integration is a separate quote.
£50 a month for the build and the hosting. Make all 24 payments and the website is yours.
One price covers the lot — designing and building your site, hosting it, keeping it secure, and changes when you need them. No deposit, no setup fee. The plan runs for 24 monthly payments; make all 24 and the website is yours.
- Custom-coded website, up to 5 pages, built for your business
- Light brand polish — logo cleanup, palette and typography aligned across the site

- Quote form, local search basics and tracking from day one
- Visitor recordings included — watch how people actually use your site
- Simple admin panel on suitable builds, so you can change the agreed sections yourself
- Direct line to me when you need something changed
- Minimum term 24 payments — make all 24 and the website is yours outright

Why this beats the cheaper Facebook ads
The £299 builders you'll see advertised on Facebook are usually one-person operations using the same off-the-shelf website kit on a shared computer (we've checked the top results in our area). Stop paying and the site usually disappears with the operator. Here, the terms are clear: £50 a month covers the build plus hosting and care, the website is yours once all 24 payments are made, and £20/month care after that is optional. Registered Glasgow Ltd (company number SC834128). No hidden lock-in. For the full numbers, see our breakdown of what a website really costs in Scotland.

Websites for tradesmen: common questions
How much does a website for a tradesman cost?
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it. You see a free mockup first, so you know what you're getting before you pay anything. The plan covers up to 5 pages, and anything beyond it is quoted separately, before any work starts.
My trade isn't listed. Can you still build mine?
The pages above are the trades I have built for so far. Electricians, builders, gardeners and the rest start the same way: a free mockup first, so you see the site before you pay anything. The small business page covers any trade that does not have a page of its own.
Do I need a Facebook page or lots of photos to start?
No. Send a link to wherever your work already shows, such as Facebook or Instagram, with a few photos, and that's enough to start a mockup. You can add more once you've seen it.
How do I keep the site up to date?
Send me the change and I make it. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours. On suitable builds I can also include a private password-protected panel for your business, so you can add photos of new jobs yourself. We agree what you can edit before the build starts, so the layout and the mobile design stay protected.
Can I keep my existing web address?
Yes. It stays registered to your business, not to me, and nothing about your current setup changes until you've seen the mockup and said yes.
Who will I be dealing with?
Me. I'm Grant, and I build the site myself, so you're talking to the person who does the work. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.
Tradesman that needs a website?
Ask for the free mockup and see your site first, or ring or message me if you'd rather talk it through. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri, and you'll be talking to the person who builds the site.
