Websites for gas and heating engineers

I'm Grant, and I build websites for gas and heating engineers. Your customers fall into two groups: the ones whose heating has just stopped, and the ones planning a new boiler. The site speaks to both, puts the phone first and shows your registration where people can see it. I start with a free mockup, so you see the site before you pay anything, and it costs you nothing either way.

£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it.

Or call 07459 934592 or message on WhatsApp. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.

See your own website first.
Then decide if it earns your £50.

Tell me about your business and I’ll make a free mockup using your name, services and brand. You see the direction before you pay anything.

If you like it £50 a month for 24 months · no deposit
  • Custom website, hosting, care and content updates included
  • The website is yours once all 24 payments are made
  • After that, £20/month care is optional
  • Your first payment is fully refundable for 14 days from the day it is taken

Quick answer. A gas or heating engineer's website serves two kinds of caller: someone whose heating has stopped and who needs to ring now, and someone planning a new boiler who wants to read first. It needs your phone number and a message button where they can't be missed, your Gas Safe number on every page, and photos of your own jobs. I build these, and I start with a free mockup. If you go ahead, it's £50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years.

What a gas or heating engineer's website should do

This is the list I work from for a gas engineer website. Whether you are gas only or a plumbing and heating firm, I'll say what fits your business when we talk.

Heating's off, or planning ahead

"Something's not working" and "planning ahead" are different callers. Give the first a phone number to ring straight away. Give the second room to read about a new boiler, a replacement for an old one, or a service for a house they've just bought.

Phone and WhatsApp first

Gas work is hard to book from a form, because the customer does not know what is wrong. Put a Call button and a WhatsApp button where they are always in reach on a phone, and tell people to say what is wrong in their own words.

A photo of the boiler

Invite people to send a photo of the boiler and what its display is showing, so you know what you are walking into.

Your Gas Safe number on every page

Put your registration number in the footer of every page and in the contact section, exactly as it appears on your own entry, so a customer can check it on the Gas Safe Register. I check it against the register, and I never use a number that is not yours.

Every service, in your own words

Boiler installs and replacements, repairs, servicing, landlord gas safety certificates (CP12), radiators and pumps, and general plumbing alongside. List what you do the way you say it, and give landlord certificates their own mention, because that is what a landlord is looking for.

Real job records, not stock

Jobs shown in phases, strip-out, first fix and finished, plus a same-spot before-and-after, photographed on the job by the engineer. It shows the standard of your pipework and your finish better than a picture of a boiler from a catalogue.

A plain answer on heat pumps

If you fit heat pumps, a "talk first" section works better than a sales pitch: call or message, tell us about the property, and what the install involves and what it costs comes in writing. I leave out funding, grant and accreditation claims unless they are yours to make.

An honest note on swapping to a combi

With a heat-only boiler and a hot water cylinder, a combi means heating water when you use it. A short note that you will say honestly whether it makes sense for a particular house, and what it would cost, gives the planning-ahead caller a reason to ring. I leave savings figures out.

Recent jobs, added by you

On suitable builds I can include a private password-protected panel for your business, so recent jobs can go on the site. Or send the photos over by email or WhatsApp. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours.

From a phone call to a live site

Here's how it went for Wilson Energy Solutions. Yours would run in the same order: mockup first, decision after.

  1. It started with an email

I got in touch by email, and he rang me the same day.

  2. I built the free mockup

He sent over the rest of what he does by WhatsApp, and I built the mockup round it: gas first, then heat pumps, air conditioning and general plumbing, with his Gas Safe number on every page and a homepage built for the two kinds of caller.

  3. It went live at his own web address

It is at wilsonenergysolutions.com, within a week of my first email, and you can look it over yourself.

What happens after the £50 monthly payments?

A monthly website can spread the cost of owning a professional site, or keep you renting indefinitely. The important question is what you own when the initial term ends.

That £50 a month is the whole thing — designing and building your site, hosting it, and changes when you need them. There's no separate build bill. And it's 24 payments, not forever — the plan runs for a minimum of 24, and once they're made the £50 stops and you either keep us on at £20 a month or take your site wherever you like. It's yours. Seen another £50-a-month offer? Ask if it includes building the site — many at that price cover hosting and support only.

A website-rental model

Ongoing monthly rental
  • You may be paying for access to the website rather than buying it
  • The monthly payment can continue for as long as the site is live
  • Payments never end — stop paying and the site is gone
  • Website files may not be available to move elsewhere
  • Updates, email and support may be separate add-ons
After 24 months Still renting
If you leave Site may go

GrantOps monthly plan

£50 /month for 24 months
  • No deposit and no setup fee — start with the first £50 payment
  • A custom-coded website designed for your business
  • Hosting, content updates and business email included
  • Backups, security and direct developer support included
  • Complete all 24 payments and the website is yours — take it anywhere
24-month total £1,200
After 24 payments Yours

The plan runs for a minimum of 24 payments — that's what pays for the build instead of an upfront fee. End it early and hosting ends and the site comes down. Complete all 24 and the £50 payments stop for good: keep us on at £20/month or take the files and host the site anywhere. With a rental, the payments never stop — and neither does the risk.

Your booking system. Your customers. Your account.

Every build includes hooking your site up to the tools you already use — online booking, newsletter, reviews, WhatsApp. You keep the accounts, in your name. That's the whole difference.

Let people book you online

Already using Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell? I'll wire it straight into your site, so customers book a slot instead of ringing you while you're on a job.

The account stays yours

The booking system is in your name, on your card. Your calendar, your customer list, your data. None of it routes through me, and I don't sit in the middle of it.

Walk away, keep everything

Resellers hand you their booking platform as part of the monthly fee. Stop paying and your calendar goes with them. Here the tools were always yours — so there's nothing to lose.

Included in every website build, whichever way you pay — it's your account, I just wire it in. Bespoke work like member areas, custom calculators or a direct API integration is a separate quote.

£50 a month for the build and the hosting. Make all 24 payments and the website is yours.

One price covers the lot — designing and building your site, hosting it, keeping it secure, and changes when you need them. No deposit, no setup fee. The plan runs for 24 monthly payments; make all 24 and the website is yours.

£50/mo
24 × £50 = £1,200 in total · build, hosting, updates, security and support included from your first payment
  • Custom-coded website, up to 5 pages, built for your business
  • Light brand polish — logo cleanup, palette and typography aligned across the site
  • Hosting on AWS, updates, business email, daily backups and security included
  • Quote form, local search basics and tracking from day one
  • Visitor recordings included — watch how people actually use your site
  • Simple admin panel on suitable builds, so you can change the agreed sections yourself
  • Direct line to me when you need something changed
  • Minimum term 24 payments — make all 24 and the website is yours outright
Minimum term: 24 payments. That is what pays for the build instead of an upfront fee. Your monthly payment covers the build plus hosting, updates and support, so if the plan ends early, hosting ends, the site comes down and the remaining payments stay due. Why this beats the cheaper Facebook ads

The £299 builders you'll see advertised on Facebook are usually one-person operations using the same off-the-shelf website kit on a shared computer (we've checked the top results in our area). Stop paying and the site usually disappears with the operator. Here, the terms are clear: £50 a month covers the build plus hosting and care, the website is yours once all 24 payments are made, and £20/month care after that is optional. Websites for gas and heating engineers: common questions

How much does a website for a gas or heating engineer cost?

£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it. You see a free mockup first, so you know what you're getting before you pay anything. The plan covers up to 5 pages, so a firm that does boilers, heat pumps and plumbing can give each its own space. Anything beyond the plan is quoted separately, before any work starts.

Should my site show my Gas Safe number?

I'd put it on every page, exactly as it appears on your own entry on the Gas Safe Register, so customers can check it. Wilson Energy Solutions' site shows his on every page. I never use another firm's number, and I don't add one that isn't yours. For what the register requires of your advertising, its own guidance is the place to check.

I do plumbing as well as heating. Is this the right page?

Yes. Heating and general plumbing often sit under one roof, and a plumbing and heating website can show both. If bathrooms and plumbing are the bigger part of your work, take a look at websites for plumbers as well.

Can the site say I do emergency call-outs?

If you do, in your own words and next to the phone number. Wilson Energy Solutions' own site says call-outs run 24/7, in his own words. I only write what you tell me is true, so if you don't do emergencies, the site doesn't say it.

What about heat pumps?

If you fit them, they get a short section of their own, written as an invitation to talk first. I don't put funding, grant or accreditation claims on a site unless they're yours to make.

Why have a site with no booking form?

Because with gas work the customer can't always say what is wrong, and it's quicker to tell you in their own words. Many engineers prefer the phone, or WhatsApp with a photo of the boiler. A form is there if you want one: Wilson Energy Solutions' site goes without, on purpose.

Gas or heating engineer that needs a website?

Ask for the free mockup and see your site first, or ring or message me if you'd rather talk it through. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri, and you'll be talking to the person who builds the site.

They're all on one page too: websites for tradesmen.
