Websites for painters and decorators
I'm Grant, and I build websites for painters and decorators. Your own jobs on show, before-and-after pairs, and a Call and a WhatsApp button on the first screen of a phone. I start with a free mockup, so you see the site before you pay anything, and it costs you nothing either way.
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it.
Or call 07459 934592 or message on WhatsApp. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.
See your own website first.
Then decide if it earns your £50.
Tell me about your business and I’ll make a free mockup using your name, services and brand. You see the direction before you pay anything.
- Custom website, hosting, care and content updates included
- The website is yours once all 24 payments are made
- After that, £20/month care is optional
- Your first payment is fully refundable for 14 days from the day it is taken

Your mockup request is in.
I'll use the details you've sent to put together a first design within 2 working days. There's nothing else you need to email over to get started.
Quick answer. A painting and decorating website has one job: to get a customer to ring or message you. That takes photos of your real jobs, before-and-after pairs with the before first, a Call and a WhatsApp button on the first screen of a phone, and a page for each kind of work you do. I build these, and I start with a free mockup. If you go ahead, it's £50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years.
What a painter and decorator's website should do
Here's what I'd put in front of your customers. You won't need all of it, and I'll tell you what fits when we talk.
Before-and-after pairs
Show the room or the wall as it was, then as it is. The before always comes first, so the difference is what a customer sees.
Photos of real jobs, not stock
Customers can tell a stock photo from a job you've actually done. Photos of your own work, even ones taken on your phone, show them what they would be getting.
Commercial and domestic kept apart
If you work for pubs, halls and restaurants as well as in people's homes, give each its own page. A bar or restaurant owner and a homeowner are looking for different things.
A page for wallpaper
Hanging paper is a job of its own. If you are a paper hanger, give it a page with photos of the rooms, so people who want paper hung can see you do it.
Where you work
An areas page answers "do you cover me?" before anyone has to ring. List the places you cover, and say what to do if theirs is not on the list.
Call and WhatsApp on the first screen
On a phone, the first screen should carry a Call button and a WhatsApp button, so reaching you is one tap. The page also has to load quickly on a phone, or they've gone before they see the buttons.
A contact form
Some people would rather type than ring. A short form for their name, number, where the job is and what needs doing is enough.
A link to your Google reviews
If you have reviews on Google, link to them. Customers can read them on Google itself, instead of just taking your word for it.
New job photos, added by you
On suitable builds I can include a private password-protected panel for your business, so you can add photos of new jobs yourself. Or send them over by email or WhatsApp. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours.
From an email to a live site
This is how it went for Crookston Decorators. You'd get the same steps: the free mockup comes first, and you only go ahead if you like it.
-
It started with an email
I got in touch by email and offered to build a free mockup of his site first.
-
I built the free mockup
It was built round photos of his own jobs: gold and black like his van, his logo redrawn and animated on the homepage, before-and-after pairs with the before first, and call and WhatsApp buttons on the first screen. Commercial work, domestic work and wallpaper hanging each got their own page.
-
He looked it over and went ahead
He saw the site before he paid anything, and then he went ahead.
-
It went live at his own web address
It is at crookstondecorators.co.uk, and you can look it over yourself.

Change it yourself in seconds — or just email us
Updates are included in your monthly plan. Email a change over and it's done within 48 hours — usually within a few hours. And when you'd rather not wait on anyone: on suitable builds GrantOps includes a simple admin panel built around the exact sections we agree — prices and services, menus, photos, special offers, opening hours, news.
You edit the approved content; the layout, branding and mobile design stay protected. Photo and project gallery editing is already delivered and in use for KAP Joinery.
Available on suitable builds. We agree exactly what you can edit before development, so the panel stays simple instead of becoming a cluttered page builder.

What happens after the £50 monthly payments?
A monthly website can spread the cost of owning a professional site, or keep you renting indefinitely. The important question is what you own when the initial term ends.
That £50 a month is the whole thing — designing and building your site, hosting it, and changes when you need them. There's no separate build bill. And it's 24 payments, not forever — the plan runs for a minimum of 24, and once they're made the £50 stops and you either keep us on at £20 a month or take your site wherever you like. It's yours. Seen another £50-a-month offer? Ask if it includes building the site — many at that price cover hosting and support only.
A website-rental model
- You may be paying for access to the website rather than buying it
- The monthly payment can continue for as long as the site is live
- Payments never end — stop paying and the site is gone
- Website files may not be available to move elsewhere
- Updates, email and support may be separate add-ons
GrantOps monthly plan
- No deposit and no setup fee — start with the first £50 payment
- A custom-coded website designed for your business
- Hosting, content updates and business email included
- Backups, security and direct developer support included
- Complete all 24 payments and the website is yours — take it anywhere
The plan runs for a minimum of 24 payments — that's what pays for the build instead of an upfront fee. End it early and hosting ends and the site comes down. Complete all 24 and the £50 payments stop for good: keep us on at £20/month or take the files and host the site anywhere. With a rental, the payments never stop — and neither does the risk.
AWS and Kubernetes certified
Translation: the bit that keeps your site online and fast is run by someone with the same qualifications enterprise teams hire for. Your site won't vanish because a cheap hosting company went bust.
Your booking system. Your customers. Your account.
Every build includes hooking your site up to the tools you already use — online booking, newsletter, reviews, WhatsApp. You keep the accounts, in your name. That's the whole difference.
Let people book you online
Already using Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell? I'll wire it straight into your site, so customers book a slot instead of ringing you while you're on a job.
The account stays yours
The booking system is in your name, on your card. Your calendar, your customer list, your data. None of it routes through me, and I don't sit in the middle of it.
Walk away, keep everything
Resellers hand you their booking platform as part of the monthly fee. Stop paying and your calendar goes with them. Here the tools were always yours — so there's nothing to lose.
Included in every website build, whichever way you pay — it's your account, I just wire it in. Bespoke work like member areas, custom calculators or a direct API integration is a separate quote.

Why this beats the cheaper Facebook ads
The £299 builders you'll see advertised on Facebook are usually one-person operations using the same off-the-shelf website kit on a shared computer (we've checked the top results in our area). Stop paying and the site usually disappears with the operator. Here, the terms are clear: £50 a month covers the build plus hosting and care, the website is yours once all 24 payments are made, and £20/month care after that is optional. Registered Glasgow Ltd (company number SC834128). No hidden lock-in. For the full numbers, see our breakdown of what a website really costs in Scotland.

Websites for painters and decorators: common questions
How much does a website for a painter and decorator cost?
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it. You see a free mockup first, so you know what you're getting before you pay anything. The plan covers up to 5 pages, and a painter who does commercial, domestic and wallpaper work can give each its own page. Anything beyond the plan is quoted separately, before any work starts.
How long does it take?
Most sites are live in about a week once I have your content. The free mockup comes first, so you can look it over and tell me what to change before anything goes live.
Do I need a lot of photos of my jobs?
No. A link to your Facebook or Instagram page and a few photos of your work is plenty to start a mockup, and you can send more later. If you have before-and-after pairs, send both and I'll put the before first.
Can I add photos of my new jobs myself?
On suitable builds, yes. I can include a private password-protected panel for your business, so you can add photos of new jobs yourself. We agree what you can edit before the build starts, so the layout and the mobile design stay protected. If you'd rather not, send the photos over by email or WhatsApp. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours.
I've already got a web address. What happens to it?
It stays in your name, registered to your business and not to me. I build the new site first, for free, and your current site or Facebook page carries on as it is. When you're happy, you send me the login for wherever the address was bought, or add me to the account, and I point it at the new site.
Can customers WhatsApp me from the site?
Yes. A Call button and a WhatsApp button go on the first screen on a phone, so a customer can ring or message you in one tap. Both use the number you give me.
Painter or decorator that needs a website?
Ask for the free mockup and see your site first, or ring or message me if you'd rather talk it through. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri, and you'll be talking to the person who builds the site.
Other trades I build for

They're all on one page too: websites for tradesmen.
