Websites for roofers
I'm Grant, and I build websites for roofers. A roof is work a homeowner can't see for themselves, so the site has to show it: your own jobs, stage by stage, and your phone number where nobody can miss it. I start with a free mockup, so you see the site before you pay anything, and it costs you nothing either way.
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it.
Or call 07459 934592 or message on WhatsApp. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.
See your own website first.
Then decide if it earns your £50.
Tell me about your business and I’ll make a free mockup using your name, services and brand. You see the direction before you pay anything.
- Custom website, hosting, care and content updates included
- The website is yours once all 24 payments are made
- After that, £20/month care is optional
- Your first payment is fully refundable for 14 days from the day it is taken

I'll use the details you've sent to put together a first design within 2 working days. There's nothing else you need to email over to get started.
Quick answer. Roofing web design has two jobs: to get a homeowner to ring, and to show work they can't see for themselves. That takes your phone number at the top of every page, your own jobs shown stage by stage with the finished roof at the end, and plain words for the trade jargon. Where you have no photo of a service, saying it in words is better than borrowing someone else's picture. I build these, and I start with a free mockup. If you go ahead, it's £50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years.
What a roofer's website should do
This is what I'd put in front of your customers. You won't need all of it, and I'll tell you what fits when we talk.
Your number on every page
A roofing job usually starts with a phone call. Put your number at the top of every page as a tap-to-call link, and again beside the contact form, so ringing you is one tap wherever someone lands.
Jobs shown stage by stage
Nobody can see a roof from the ground. Show a job in order, before, the work under way and the finished roof, using photos of your own jobs. A tap-to-reveal "Show after" on a same-angle pair lets the visitor decide when to see the difference.
Trade words in plain English
Ridge, valley, sarking, dry verge: you know what they are and your customer does not. A line saying what each one is, once, means a homeowner reading a quote knows what they are agreeing to.
Services in your own words
Slating, tiling, lead work, flat roofs, gutters, chimney repairs: list what you do the way you would say it on the phone. I can take the list from your van, your Facebook page or your quote sheet.
Honest where there is no photo
If you have no photo of a service, a short plain block in words does the job. Borrowing another job's picture gets a flat roof labelled with the wrong material, and customers can tell when the picture does not match the work.
How a job goes
A few plain steps take the mystery out of it: they ring, you come out and look, they get a quote before any work, then the work gets done. Write the steps the way you really work.
Emergency call-outs, if you do them
If you take emergency call-outs, say so beside your phone number in your own words. If you do not, leave it off. The page should only say what you will actually do.
Reviews linked, with no number to go stale
Link to the reviews customers have left on your Facebook or Google page, and add a one-tap link for new customers to leave one. They can read the reviews where they were written, and nothing on your site goes out of date.
Jobs added as the roofs get done
A freshly finished roof is the photo worth having, and the week you finish it is the easiest time to add it. On suitable builds I can include a private password-protected panel for your business for adding new jobs, or you can email the photos to me. Small changes are done within 48 hours, usually within a few hours.
From his Facebook page to his own web address
Here's the route G Tulloch Roof Repairs took. Yours would run the same way, with the mockup first and the decision after.
-
It started with an email
I emailed him, offering a free mockup, because he had a Facebook page but no website of his own.
-
He asked for it himself
He sent the free-mockup form the next day, and we talked it through on the phone the same day.
-
I built the free mockup
It was built round his own Facebook page: his services from his van, photos of his own jobs shown stage by stage, and his phone number at the top of every page.
-
It went live at his own web address
It is at gtullochroofing.co.uk, a week after my first email, and you can look it over yourself.

Change it yourself in seconds — or just email us
Updates are included in your monthly plan. Email a change over and it's done within 48 hours — usually within a few hours. And when you'd rather not wait on anyone: on suitable builds GrantOps includes a simple admin panel built around the exact sections we agree — prices and services, menus, photos, special offers, opening hours, news.
You edit the approved content; the layout, branding and mobile design stay protected. Photo and project gallery editing is already delivered and in use for KAP Joinery.
Available on suitable builds. We agree exactly what you can edit before development, so the panel stays simple instead of becoming a cluttered page builder.

What happens after the £50 monthly payments?
A monthly website can spread the cost of owning a professional site, or keep you renting indefinitely. The important question is what you own when the initial term ends.
That £50 a month is the whole thing — designing and building your site, hosting it, and changes when you need them. There's no separate build bill. And it's 24 payments, not forever — the plan runs for a minimum of 24, and once they're made the £50 stops and you either keep us on at £20 a month or take your site wherever you like. It's yours. Seen another £50-a-month offer? Ask if it includes building the site — many at that price cover hosting and support only.
A website-rental model
- You may be paying for access to the website rather than buying it
- The monthly payment can continue for as long as the site is live
- Payments never end — stop paying and the site is gone
- Website files may not be available to move elsewhere
- Updates, email and support may be separate add-ons
GrantOps monthly plan
- No deposit and no setup fee — start with the first £50 payment
- A custom-coded website designed for your business
- Hosting, content updates and business email included
- Backups, security and direct developer support included
- Complete all 24 payments and the website is yours — take it anywhere
The plan runs for a minimum of 24 payments — that's what pays for the build instead of an upfront fee. End it early and hosting ends and the site comes down. Complete all 24 and the £50 payments stop for good: keep us on at £20/month or take the files and host the site anywhere. With a rental, the payments never stop — and neither does the risk.
AWS and Kubernetes certified
Translation: the bit that keeps your site online and fast is run by someone with the same qualifications enterprise teams hire for. Your site won't vanish because a cheap hosting company went bust.
Your booking system. Your customers. Your account.
Every build includes hooking your site up to the tools you already use — online booking, newsletter, reviews, WhatsApp. You keep the accounts, in your name. That's the whole difference.
Let people book you online
Already using Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell? I'll wire it straight into your site, so customers book a slot instead of ringing you while you're on a job.
The account stays yours
The booking system is in your name, on your card. Your calendar, your customer list, your data. None of it routes through me, and I don't sit in the middle of it.
Walk away, keep everything
Resellers hand you their booking platform as part of the monthly fee. Stop paying and your calendar goes with them. Here the tools were always yours — so there's nothing to lose.
Included in every website build, whichever way you pay — it's your account, I just wire it in. Bespoke work like member areas, custom calculators or a direct API integration is a separate quote.

Why this beats the cheaper Facebook ads
The £299 builders you'll see advertised on Facebook are usually one-person operations using the same off-the-shelf website kit on a shared computer (we've checked the top results in our area). Stop paying and the site usually disappears with the operator. Here, the terms are clear: £50 a month covers the build plus hosting and care, the website is yours once all 24 payments are made, and £20/month care after that is optional. Registered Glasgow Ltd (company number SC834128). No hidden lock-in. For the full numbers, see our breakdown of what a website really costs in Scotland.

Websites for roofers: common questions
How much does a website for a roofer cost?
£50 a month for the build and the hosting, and it runs for two years. After that the site's yours, dropping to £20 a month if you'd like me to keep looking after it. You see a free mockup first, so you know what you're getting before you pay anything. The plan covers up to 5 pages, so a roofer can give roof repairs, gutters and a page of recent jobs their own space. Anything beyond the plan is quoted separately, before any work starts.
Do I need photos of every kind of roofing job I do?
No. Show what you have photos of and list the rest in plain words. "We do lead work" is better than a borrowed picture of someone else's valley, and you can add photos as you take them.
Roofing is hard to photograph. What should I show?
The same roof from the same spot before and after, and a job in stages: stripped, re-boarded and felted, then finished. Photos from the ground or the ladder are fine. If a photo shows a house number or a number plate, tell me and it stays off the site.
Should the site list my prices or trade memberships?
Only if they're yours to claim. I put on the site what you tell me is true and nothing else, so there's no price, membership or insurance line unless you give me one and it's right.
Can customers WhatsApp me from the site?
It's your choice. A Call button goes on the first screen of a roofer's site. If you take WhatsApp messages on the same number I add a WhatsApp button beside it, and if you would rather keep to calls I leave it off.
How long does it take?
G Tulloch Roof Repairs went live on his own web address a week after my first email, and that included building the free mockup and time for him to look it over. Yours depends on how quickly I get your photos and your list of services. Most sites are live in about a week once I have your content.
Roofer that needs a website?
Ask for the free mockup and see your site first, or ring or message me if you'd rather talk it through. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri, and you'll be talking to the person who builds the site.
Other trades I build for
Plumbers · Landscapers and tree surgeons · Painters and decorators · Joiners · Gas and heating engineers · Body shops and accident repair centres
They're all on one page too: websites for tradesmen.
