* £50/month all-in for 24 months, no build deposit — the website is yours at month 24, and £20/month care is optional after that. Prefer to pay less overall? £300 deposit and £300 balance before launch (£600 build total) plus £20/month hosting/care.

Quick answer. Affordable web design for businesses across Scotland — custom-coded from scratch, not templates. Start at £50/month all-in for 24 months with no build deposit, and the website is yours at month 24. Prefer to pay less overall? A £300 deposit and £300 balance before launch (£600 build total) plus £20/month hosting/care, and you own the files at launch. See it first with a free mockup — no card, no catch. Or read the full guide to how much a website costs in Scotland.

Glasgow-based. Working the length of the country.

GRANTOPS CONSULTING LTD is a registered Glasgow company (SC834128), but the build runs on email, phone and WhatsApp — so a café in Leith, a dental practice in Aberdeen and a joiner in Ayrshire are the same job at the same price. Remote is exactly why the price stays where it is instead of drifting to agency rates.

Central Belt

Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Paisley, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Falkirk and Stirling. Close enough to meet in person when a project genuinely needs it.

East & North

Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness and the Highlands. All-remote from day one — no travel cost priced into your quote, and no waiting on a site visit to get started.

West, Fife & Borders

Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Dumfries, Fife and the Scottish Borders. Same build, same hosting, same £50/month all-in plan wherever your customers are.

Client admin panel available

Change it yourself in seconds — or just email us

Updates are included on every plan — email a change over and it's done, usually the same week. And when you'd rather not wait on anyone: on suitable builds GrantOps includes a simple admin panel built around the exact sections we agree — prices and services, menus, photos, special offers, opening hours, news.

You edit the approved content; the layout, branding and mobile design stay protected. Photo and project gallery editing is already delivered and in use for KAP Joinery.

Available on suitable builds. We agree exactly what you can edit before development, so the panel stays simple instead of becoming a cluttered page builder.

Paul Cameron of KAP Joinery is my first website-build client — his review is first below. The Fiverr ones are @dalemccarty, from cloud and website-maintenance work I do on the side: real, but not website builds. I'd rather show you real ones than stage new ones.

Your booking system. Your customers. Your account.

Every build includes hooking your site up to the tools you already use — online booking, newsletter, reviews, WhatsApp. You keep the accounts, in your name. That's the whole difference.

Let people book you online

Already using Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell? I'll wire it straight into your site, so customers book a slot instead of ringing you while you're on a job.

The account stays yours

The booking system is in your name, on your card. Your calendar, your customer list, your data. None of it routes through me, and I don't sit in the middle of it.

Walk away, keep everything

Resellers hand you their booking platform as part of the monthly fee. Stop paying and your calendar goes with them. Here the tools were always yours — so there's nothing to lose.

Included in every website build, whichever way you pay — it's your account, I just wire it in. Bespoke work like member areas, custom calculators or a direct API integration is a separate quote.

Own it your way: £50/month all-in or a £300 deposit.

Choose the monthly plan that bundles build + hosting/care with no build deposit — at month 24 the website is yours. Or pay the lower total with a £300 deposit and £300 balance on launch plus £20/month hosting/care. Same website, same launch kit, same support — including social clips plus flyer/business-card design with QR tracking while slots last.

£600
£600 build total: £300 deposit, £300 balance before launch · £20/month managed hosting, care starts at launch
  • Custom-coded website (up to 5 pages)
  • Light brand polish — logo cleanup, palette and typography aligned across the site
  • Managed hosting on AWS — £20/month (same cloud the big banks use)
  • SSL certificate + daily backups
  • Business email setup
  • Content updates included
  • Tracking from day one — see every call, email, and contact form lead
  • Visitor recordings included — watch real, anonymous recordings of how people use your site (most builders don't include this)

  • Free launch kit included with current launch builds — branded social videos plus flyer/business-card design with QR tracking
  • Direct line to me when you need changes
You own the files at launch. £20/month from year 2 keeps your site running with everything above. Most small businesses don't need it until they're actively running ads or trying to grow. No contract, leave anytime.

Why this beats the cheaper Facebook ads

The £299 builders you'll see advertised on Facebook are usually one-person operations using the same off-the-shelf website kit on a shared computer (we've checked the top results in our area). Stop paying and the site usually disappears with the operator. Here, the terms are clear: choose monthly and the £50/month is all-in for the build plus hosting/care during the plan, with the website yours at month 24 and optional £20/month care after that; use the 50% deposit route and you own the files at launch. Registered Glasgow Ltd (company number SC834128). No hidden lock-in. For the full numbers, see our breakdown of what a website really costs in Scotland.

A Glasgow southside joinery

Affordable web design in Scotland — common questions

Still not answered? Ask me directly — I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.

How much does affordable web design in Scotland actually cost?

Two routes, same website. The lead option is £50/month all-in for 24 months with no build deposit — the build, hosting, content updates, business email, backups and security are all bundled into the one payment, and at month 24 the website is yours. If you'd rather pay less overall, the deposit route is £300 deposit plus £300 balance before launch (£600 build total) and £20/month managed hosting/care — you own the files at launch. Across the wider market a simple brochure site typically runs £500–£1,500, and a £299 "fixed price" build usually costs more than £1,100 in Year 1 once the mandatory monthly add-ons stack up.

Do you work with businesses anywhere in Scotland, or just Glasgow?

Anywhere in Scotland. GrantOps is Glasgow-based (GRANTOPS CONSULTING LTD, company SC834128, registered in Glasgow) but the build process is remote by design — email, phone, WhatsApp — so Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling, Perth, Inverness, Ayrshire, Fife, the Highlands and the Borders are all the same job and the same price. Remote is exactly how the price stays where it is instead of drifting to agency rates. I'll reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri.

What kinds of Scottish businesses do you build for?

Any business where the website has to earn its keep. Trades — joiners, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, roofers, groomers — but just as often dentists, solicitors, private clinics, physios, accountants, salons and barbers, cafés and restaurants, and small independent shops. If customers in your part of Scotland need to find you, judge you in ten seconds and get in touch, the Launch package is built for exactly that.

Can I keep my existing booking or newsletter tools?

Yes — and they stay in your name. Wiring up the tools you already own is included in every build from Launch upward: Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, Fresha, Booksy, Treatwell, and the usual newsletter and review tools. The account stays yours. That's the opposite of a reseller handing you their own booking platform as lock-in: stop paying them and your calendar walks out the door with them. Bespoke work — member areas, calculators, a direct API integration — is quoted separately.

Do I actually own the website?

Yes, on both routes. On the £50/month plan the website is yours at month 24, after which £20/month care is entirely optional — keep it if you want GrantOps hosting, updating and looking after the site, drop it if you don't. On the £300 deposit route you own the files at launch. Either way there is no "the site vanishes the day you stop paying" trap.

Can I see the site before I commit to anything?

That's the whole point of the free mockup. Tell me about your business and I'll build you a real mockup of your website — not a slide, not a template screenshot — so you can look at it before you spend a penny. No card, no catch. Current launch builds also include the free launch kit while slots last: six social clip formats, flyer and business-card design, and QR tracking setup (printing is an optional extra).

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. Small changes are always included in your monthly care — email them across and I'll make them, usually the same week. On suitable builds I can also include a simple admin panel for the sections we agree up front — prices and services, menus, photo and project galleries, opening hours and closures, special offers, news posts, service areas — so you can update those yourself whenever you like. Photo galleries are already live for KAP Joinery. It isn't a drag-and-drop page builder, so you edit the approved content while the layout, branding and mobile design stay protected and your site stays fast.

Scottish business needing a proper website?

Start on the £50/month all-in plan with no build deposit, or ask for the free mockup first and see your site before you pay a penny. Either way you'll get a reply within 4 working hours, Mon–Fri — from me, not a support queue.
